Physics

Physics

We offer Physics tuition at our centres in Folkestone, Maidstone and Medway, starting from Year 7 as part of the Science National Curriculum and progressing towards A-level Physics as a standalone subject.

Our specialist teachers are passionate about Physics and know how to help students master difficult scientific concepts. We use a structured, clear and engaging approach, encouraging participation and questions. Our teaching assistants have advanced subject knowledge and provide one-to-one assistance if a student is struggling with a particular topic.

Physics tuition – areas of focus

Improving and strengthening subject knowledge – students learn in small ability-based classes enabling us to provide personalised attention and quickly address any issues.

Exam skills – we focus on learning to complete as many answers as possible in a clear and concise manner, timing, and staying calm and focused.

Key Stage 3 – Years 7-9, Ages 11-14

Key Stage 3 is a particularly important time in students’ education, as they now study more subjects and in greater depth compared to Key Stage 2.

Physics at this stage is taught as part of the Science curriculum. Our focussed tuition ensures your child has a solid foundation in Physics, can confidently cope with the pace of learning and progress towards GCSE level.

Our ability-based classes are designed for students to learn at their most suitable level, achieving the best possible results.

Students with a strong interest and advanced ability in Physics can learn beyond the National Curriculum level, preparing to go into more depth at GCSE and A-level.

Key Stage 4 – GCSE – Years 10-11, Ages 14-16

GCSE Physics is taught as part of Science and our weekly 2-hour classes focus on consolidating the subject knowledge and developing effective exam-taking skills.

We teach both Foundation GCSE and Higher GCSE Physics, with classes structured according to the main exam boards.

GCSE exams are taken at the end of Year 11 and for best results we recommend joining our classes at the start of year 10.

We run additional intensive revision classes in February and during the Easter break to get students into the best shape for the exam.
